There is a concerted effort to ‘make’ America bilingual. The campaign is seeking to change America. The campaign is active from local communities to the halls of Congress. It is calling itself tolerant and enlightened. It is in fact either ignorant or malicious.
This is not a new idea. The ‘enlightened activists’ (Liberal Humanists) in America pushing for a “Bilingual-Bicultural” ‘tolerant’ society have either never learned any history, or are purposely attempting to destroy America. This is a strategy ‘invented’ by God. It is sardonically ironic that groups of well meaning people that ‘materially’ deny God, are using God’s methods to destroy a nation founded on God.
Former Governor of Colorado, Richard Lamm, in early 2004, offered a speech in Washington D.C. titled, “I Have A Plan To Destroy America”. He offered a revised written version to Snopes.com, the “Urban Legends” people. In his speech, Governor Lamm points to modern and historical examples of how multiculturalism or as he states “Bilingual-Bicultural” societies fail.
One need only look to the news to see terrific tensions created by diverse languages in modern cultures. Governor Lamm mentions Canada, Belgium, Nigeria and others whose escalating unrest has even caused civil wars. The point is, a nation divided by bilingualism ‘commits suicide’.
Jesus Christ said, “If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.” Mark 3:24. This quote is entirely out of context. The principle however is sound and represents a principle enacted by God, Himself.
God knows that a multi-lingual ‘nation’ cannot stand. He knows by introducing a diversity of languages that are not ‘in common’ into a society, the society fails. Mistrust, bigotry, and isolationism are the direct result of forcing different languages into a united culture. He ‘invented’ the method.
Look at the book of Genesis.
“Now the whole earth had one language and one speech. And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar, and they dwelt there. Then they said to one another, “Come, let us make bricks and bake them thoroughly.” They had brick for stone, and they had asphalt for mortar. And they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, and a tower whose top is in the heavens; let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth.” But the Lord came down to see the city and the tower which the sons of men had built. And the Lord said, “Indeed the people are one and they all have one language, and this is what they begin to do; now nothing that they propose to do will be withheld from them. Come, let Us go down and there confuse their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech.” So the Lord scattered them abroad from there over the face of all the earth, and they ceased building the city. Therefore its name is called Babel, because there the Lord confused the language of all the earth; and from there the Lord scattered them abroad over the face of all the earth.” Genesis 11:1-9
Therefore, we send a sincere congratulation to the ‘Liberal Humanists’ in America. “The fool has said in his heart, ““There is no God.” They are corrupt, They have done abominable works, There is none who does good.” Psalm 14:1 (Psalm 53:1).
Denying God, and then using God’s methods in an attempt to be ‘enlightened’, they are ‘proving’ the Truth of Romans 1:22, “Professing to be wise, they became fools,”
History shows us from Genesis to the present that a “multilingual-multicultural” society cannot stand…
Governor Lamm has “A Plan to Destroy America”. A ‘Liberal Humanist’ ‘enlightened’ vocal minority is enacting it. This group is either obviously ignorant of history or thinks the rest of us are.
Sorry folks, God thought of it first.
Pray that God uses their ‘stealing’ of His methods as a way of reaching the lost…

This was a brilliant post! If people are going to come to our nation and stay, they need to invest in learning our language.
Yes, it may be that this will not be adequately done, in their family, until the next generation, which is also a fairly common American model. But it still needs to be the norm, and yes I'll say it, our expectation of them.
Foreigner nationals become Americans by choice, and when done legally, in accordance with our laws. Just like we require them to understand our form of government, we should put English lessons on the agenda. Because our intention should be in making them good citizens and members of society, not just to serve the loyalties of the state.
China is an interesting study in the unity and diversity of language. The Chinese written language (with its 6500+ characters) is common throughout China. The spoken language is broken into dialects. The major Chinese provincial divisions are by dialects. A person speaking Yu (Cantonese) to a person from Beijing (Mandarin or Putonghua) has difficulty. However, if one writes the message, both can read it…
China is both united and divided by its language.
Call me 'intolerant'. Call me a 'bigot'. Call me 'offensive'.
Here is how I see it:
I am an American.
I was born in America.
I speak (American) English.
I spent the greater portion of my adult life defending America.
During my time in the military, I had the opportunity to ‘visit’ six continents, and more countries than there are states. Every where I went, I at least tried to learn the ‘basics’ - ‘hello’, ‘goodbye’, ‘please’, ‘thank you’ etc. Depending on the length of time I spent there, the more of the language I tried to learn…
It causes discomfort when trying to get service (at a restaurant, store, etc.) and can not because the service provider does not speak English. It is my money to spend how I choose. We live in a service oriented society.
IF one is not willing to try to 'help' me, in English...
IF I can not be understood in English - in my own country - I take my business elsewhere - period.
I try to have a 'big heart' when it comes to helping others... But when it comes to 'consumerism' I have a choice to either support linguistic diversity or defend the unity of commonality...
That commonality is the unity of language... That which makes us a 'nation'.
